Artists are naturally eager to see their finished pieces, but it’s a process that can’t be rushed! Our electric kilns are digitally controlled, so we can program them for very specific firing cycles, even so, the most reliable cycle takes eight hours to reach the proper temperature and ten more to cool down. The cooling process must take place slowly and naturally, or the ceramic pieces can shatter. Same with fused glass, it is also a kiln process.
